Breaded Mushrooms Recipe with Garlic Mayonnaise

Try these delicious succulent breaded mushrooms with a creamy garlic mayonnaise. Perfect for sharing with friends! I have been making this breaded mushrooms recipe for many years in restaurants and pubs and it never let’s me down when your in the mood for some simple grub.
Ingredients
- 20 mushrooms
- 4 eggs, whisked
- 100g flour
- 200g breadcrumbs
- dash of garlic powder
- dash of white pepper
- For the Garlic Mayonnaise
- 10 tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- sprig of parsley, chopped
- salt & black pepper to taste
Method
Step 1
For the mayonnaise combine the crushed garlic, parsley and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl. Stir well and season with salt & black pepper.
Step 2
Prepare the mushroom by removing the stalks and washing in cold water. In separate bowls add the flour with garlic powder & white pepper, whisked eggs and breadcrumbs. Fill a wok up halfway with vegetable oil and place on a high heat.
Step 3
Add the mushrooms to the flour and coat well. Then dip them in the egg and finally coat in breadcrumbs. Once the oil has reached a high temperature fry the mushrooms for around 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Step 4
Remove mushrooms from the oil and drain on some kitchen paper. Serve with the garlic mayonnaise and some dressed leaves.
